From sustainability reporting to sustainability management control

The conference theme of The Environmental and Sustainability Management Accounting Network on 27 – 28 March 2014, hosted by the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE) and the Erasmus School of Accounting & Assurance (ESAA) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is “From sustainability reporting to sustainability management control”. A special volume of the Journal of Cleaner Production is scheduled to follow.

The conference addresses issues related to the integration of sustainability performance measurement, management control, reporting and communication. We invite review papers, methodological papers, and case studies that include but are not restricted to the following areas:

•    Corporate sustainability management and management accounting
•    Sustainability management accounting and control
•    Integrated Thinking
•    Integrated Reporting
•    From output to impact measurement of performance
•    Management control for sustainability performance
•    Internal control systems and sustainability reporting

The deadline for abstracts is January 17th, 2014. Please consider that an abstract is not exceeding 500 words. Notification of acceptance will be sent by January 30th, 2014. Authors of accepted abstracts are required to send their extended abstract for publication in the conference proceedings by March 3rd, 2014. Conference fee: €380,- (inclusive conference diner); Early Bird fee: €330,- until 3th of February 2014. Further information is available in the call for abstracts.
